Career Guidance program
2013
Allied
health professionals make up 60 percent of the total health workforce. They
work in health care teams to make the health care system function by providing
a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and
support services that are critical to the other health professionals they work
with and the patients they serve.
Projections
in the India and many other countries have shown an expected long-term shortage
of qualified workers to fill many allied health positions. This is primarily
due to expansion of the health industry due to demographic changes (a growing
and aging population). Moreover, there is greater visibility and emphasis on
disability related issues and allied health professions are the primary
caregivers for this population .Education at JSS is at par with Global
standards.
